Can I practice more than one style of yoga?

Try Different Classes To Find Your Perfect Fit

When selecting a yoga class, remember that not all classes offered at gyms, yoga centers, or yoga studios fit into one of the neat boxes of types of yoga such as Bikram, Ashtanga, or Iyengar. Some teachers of Ashtanga may occasionally use props, which are common in alignment-focused Iyengar practices.

That said, there is no reason to limit yourself to only one type of class. For example, start the week with an Iyengar class to work out any kinks you may have acquired over the weekend and take a Power Yoga class for an intense, stress-busting, mid-week workout.

If you are looking for a specific type of class, ask whether the teacher is certified in that specific style of yoga. For example, if you want a Bikram class with its documented 26 elements, ask whether the instructor is certified to teach Bikram specifically, or find a Bikram yoga studio.
