Injuries During Yoga Practice
Yoga is a very healthy practice, and should work in harmony with your body. Like any exercise, however, yoga must be done with proper form in order to avoid injury. A few tips: Never push yourself. Hold each pose only as long as is comfortable; eventually you will build up strength, so there is no need to rush your practice. Be mindful as you practice. Letting your mind wander may result in twisting or turning in a direction that could injure you. If you are unsure of how to hold a pose, always ask your instructor for assistance.
